Memory Work for March 28
The memory work for 1-2, and 3-4 grades is the first question in the Sacrament of the Altar:
What is the Sacrament of the Altar? It is the true body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ under the bread and wine, instituted by Christ Himself for us Christians to eat and to drink.
5-6th grade Memory work is the first question of the Sacrament of the Altar:
What is the Sacrament of the Altar? It is the true body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ under the bread and wine, instituted by Christ Himself for us Christians to eat and to drink.
AND
Romans 3:23-24--3 "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus."
7-8th grade Memory work is the first TWO questions in the Small Catechism on the Sacrament of the Altar:
What is the Sacrament of the Altar? It is the true body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ under the bread and wine, instituted by Christ Himself for us Christians to eat and to drink. Where is this written? The holy Evangelists Matthew, Mark, Luke and St. Paul write: Our Lord Jesus Christ, on the night when He was betrayed, took bread, and when He had given thanks, He broke it and gave it to the disciples and said: "Take, eat; this is My body, which is given for you. This do in remembrance of Me." In the same way also he took the cup after supper, and when He had given thanks, He gave it to them, saying, "Drink of it, all of you; this cup is the new testament in My blood, which is shed for you for the forgiveness of sins. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me."

Munchie and game night was a HIT!
We had a GREAT time at the family munchie and game night at church tonight! Several of the fellas were involved in an INTENSE game of RISK, while the younger ones played "school", and hide and seek! The rest of us spent HOURS playing the game "Apples to Apples"...thanks Lorry for bringing it and introducing the game to us! There was lots of laughter going on! And lots and LOTS of yummy snacks! We'll do this again SOON!
